   The main idea in Volkswagen Expand is to use a basic principle of nature, the expansion and contraction. We can note this principle in many animals, with different purposes, such as transportation, security and feeding.

   This concept is present in Volkswagen Expand in two moments, the expansion of the passenger compartment to accommodate 1 or 2 people, with the purpose of making better use of space in different situations, after all, centimeters can make difference in urban centers, and also the separation of the front wheel , which separates from the vehicle and becomes a personal transportation, creating the expansion of the transport area, expanding the possibilities of places where you can go with your vehicle!

   The target users of the Volkswagen Expand are single or married people, 18-30 years old, looking for an accessible vehicle and that meets their basic transportation needs.

   The interior, simple and sober, was designed for the user who just stays the time necessary in his car but want comfort and safety.

With this project I got second place in "Talento Volkswagen Design 2012" winning a year of internship at Volkswagen of Brazil and a trip to the Frankfurt Auto Show.
